Zion Day 2: Hiking Trails Are No Jokes

The second day at Zion was tiring yet fulfilling and adventurous. We hiked two trails and by the end of the day, we were so exhausted. That night, even the light sleeper slept like a baby.

In the Zion park, you can only take shuttles to different stops that are close to different hiking trails unless you have a permit for private vehicle. We decided to hike the Weeping Rock trail first which was the second last stop on the hiking trail map. The name was so poetic that I had to see it. The trail was easy. It was only about 0.4 miles and the elevation change was about 100 feet.

It was a great decision to start with this trail because my hiking experience was close to zero. I thought of it was a warm up for the second trail of the day.

There was a guy playing drum. The sound bounced back and forth between the cliffs and created an echo effect. I felt like I was in some kind of tribal ceremony.

There were lizards everywhere! I guess they could easily survive in deserted environments because they could blend in so well with the background.

I loved having lunch by a random stream we found. Even trail mix became the most delicious food in the world. :)

Goodbye Colorado; Hello Utah

On the third day of our road trip, we left the forested Colorado and entered the deserted Utah. It was amazing to see how the terrain unfolded itself as we drove on Hwy 50. As we entered Utah, the landscapes changed all of a sudden. Everything was yellow and red. The rock formations were breathtaking. The rocks looked like someone carved the patterns in the them and then painted over with some colors.

I had always wanted to experience what it was like to be in a desert. So we decided to stop briefly and take some photos.

Our car looked so tiny from top.

I got very excited when driving between those giant rocks.

These cliffs reminded me of Lion King!

To Make Moving More Fun: Road Trip to My New Home- Los Angeles!

From packing to actually moving to LA took forever. I remember how excited I was before the road trip began. And two weeks flew by so fast. During these two weeks, I have seen sceneries that overwhelmed me even until now; I have tried things that I did not think I would do; I have experienced so many amazing events traveling with the boy. It was not just a fun time or a good memory. It was a life changing experience for me.

The past two weeks were too good to be true. I was sitting at my new apartment by myself trying to recall every detail of the road trip and then it dawned on me that I had to come back to the reality. The beauty of the nature could not be captured 100% by cameras. The fun and the connections we had could not be seen by other eyes. But looking through the pictures I know that we have been there, seen it with our eyes and felt it with our hearts.

Zion National Park is part of the Grand Canyon that is located in Utah. The park is worth spending couple days or even more there. If you drive there, you only have to pay $25 for the private vehicle entrance fee and it allows you to visit the park for 7 days. And if you decide to camp there, you only have to pay extra $16 for tent camping or $18 for RV camping.

We camped at the Watchman Campground which was right by some giant cliffs and a river. The only downsides were no campfire allowed during the time we visited and the lack of shower facilities at the park. But besides that, I had nothing bad to say about Zion. :)

Baby Clothes Are So Adorable

Baby clothes are so small yet so expensive. Shopping for baby clothes must be one of the ways for Moms to express their love for their babies.

The clothes look so adorable and feel so comfortable. I want to be a baby again!
